For the non-planted aquarium enthusiast, those beautifully landscaped planted aquariums full of live plants actually need to be fed ... so just like you might fertilize your flowers in you yard, those of us that maintain planted aquariums need to feed our plants a well balanced diet of nutrients. The photosynthesis process in an aquarium utilizes Light, Carbon, Macro Nutrients and Micro Nutrients ... our plants need to "eat" a well balanced diet of each of these ...
